Centennial Garden by Rotary Club of Hollywood
President Randy Van Ausdall
Dedication ceremony on April 22nd, 2005

The dedication took place last Friday, April 22nd at the Garden at Fountain and June Avenue. It is truly remarkable what has been accomplished by dedicated Rotarians going to the community and the City of Los Angeles. To do this kind of project in a world renowned community that has seen some outstanding days only to fall into great disrepair with pockets of out and out blight. Rotary brought together the local community, police department, City of Los Angeles Mayor's office, City Council, Department of Water and Power and most importantly the local school "Hollywood School House" which has a long and rich history in this community. The children from the school are the real inspiration to bring this to fruition; it is impossible to capture the feelings with simple photo images but the kids were absolutely delighted. Rotary is truly "Service above Self" when we "Sow the seeds of Love" and "Helping the Children of the world".
